IELTS Exam March 10, 2012 Philippines

I was very happy when I learned I got the IELTS scores I needed for Canada Immigration. I checked my scores online through the British Council website. Below are my scores for the GT module:

R- 7.0
L-7.5
W-7.0
S-7.5

Overall Band score - 7.5 (not bad) (I guess going to a review center kinda worked)

By the way, I was a 9.0 niner reviewee then but unfortunately I wasn't able to maximize my review sessions because of my busy schedule at work. I actually self-reviewed for the writing and speaking task cards 2 days before the exam. Perhaps my highschool and college english background and a little luck helped....

Anyway, I just wanted to share the questions/topics that i can still remember during the exam.

Speaking:

Part 1: describe your hometown
Part 2: Business I would like to put up; location where I want to put it up; type of business
Part 3: Differences between a multinational business to a small/medium business

Listening:

One section was about a registration of a new patient at the hospital, as he has recently arrived in the city. i can't remember the rest.. sorry.

Reading:

Passage 1. Application for a permanent position in a supermarket.

Passage 2. A set of rules regarding the accommodation, fuel and other allowances for employees while on a business trips for the company.

Passage 3. Sightings of a sea dinosaur (lochness monster) and various researches into it.

Writing:

Writing task 1 (a letter)

Write a recommendation letter for your friend who is applying for a job. In your letter please say

- How long do you know him/her?
- What are the main qualities of your friend?
- What is his/her work experience?

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Most people prefer shopping in supermarkets to small shops or local markets. Is this a positive or a negative development?
